It's been a week since we battened down the hatches and hoped that the hurricane down south wouldn't amount to much. This storm exceeded expectations and then some. I am thankful that my family and friends are all safe and well. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost so much and others still with out power and essential services. We got off light by comparison. Sag Harbor was returning to normal this weekend. Here are a few photos of the area taken by local resident Christie Brinkley (see here) and from the East Hampton Star. See the Star web site.

We are getting ready for the Nor'easter coming our way on Wednesday. Thank you Christie Brinkley for sharing photos of Sandy (and I'm glad to see no one was harmed while taking them!) Christie is a a multi talented east end resident. On a lighter note, a few years ago she had a portrait of her daughter, Sailor, in the Guild Hall member's show which is open to all museum members.
You can see the portrait of Sailor in the upper right corner.
Stay safe everyone!
