The Stained Glass Windows at the Dune Church

When I was here this winter and all was shuttered and cold I tried to remember the beauty of the stained glass windows inside. This weekend the Southampton Museum had it's annual fund raising tour of Southampton homes. Part of the tour was a visit inside St. Andrew's Dune Church.
Baskets of fans just inside the front door.
The stained glass windows are spectacular.
Eleven of them are made by Tiffany.

St. Andrew's Dune Church is a non denominational church.
The building was originally a life saving station.
(before it became a soul saving station)
The building was donated as a church in 1879.

The church has been moved away from the sea twice and was nearly destroyed by the hurricane of 1938. It's summer services and weddings are organized by the Southampton Episcopal Church.
