While checking statistics for this blog, I noticed traffic from the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Exciting! When I clicked into where it was coming from I found this article by writer Tim Gihring and the color photo above of the portrait of Ephraim Niles Bryam by Orlando Hand Bears. Isn't it beautiful? So much better than the black and white version that I had found on the Smithsonian site for the Astronomer's House post here. The portrait is a new loan to the Minneapolis Institute of Art and is currently hanging on the third floor of the museum in the American Art gallery. Thanks Tim!
