Spring Planning

A rainy weekend offers time for more spring planning.
A few skimmia haven't made it through the winter.
Should I replace with the same or something else?
Looking through gardening books offer inspiration.
The outdoor landscape is monochromatic.
The ranunculus on the kitchen counter provides eye candy.

I found this video of Southampton on youtube.
Naturally it begins with Lynch's Garden Center.
Video published May 27, 2013
A spring themed package for my sister.
Carrot seeds for the almost four year old to grow Guinea pig food.
The daffodils so pretty on the table runner quilted by Mom.

In other spring planning, it is time to fill out applications for the Guild Hall Member's Show which opens on May 3rd. Anyone who is a member of the museum can enter a work of art. I will submit this plein air painting of Dering Harbor, Shelter Island as this year's entrant.
Dering Harbor by Gail Gallagher
oil on canvas 9" x 12"
How are your spring plans progressing?

    1. Th skimming are foundation plantings in front of boxwood. I may try them again... I think the voles like to eat the roots!

  2. Love your painting! We went to Shelter Island when we were kids and I have such good memories of it. Your house and garden look and sound as if they are in full spring mode! Isn't is the best? Have fun with all your garden and art plans.
